Lively-Net Community Computer Lab
Lively-Net Classes
Introductory Computing
The free courses offered by Lively-Net are designed to provide computing beginners with a foundation on which they can build their knowledge. Upon completion of this course all students should feel comfortable logging on to any Windows based computer, searching for information on the Internet, installing programs and navigating the windows file structure and using Microsoft Word in a professional setting. We will also introduce the basic concepts of a spreadsheet.
Typing
Learn to touch-type at your own pace and make the most of your time on the computer. The more comfortable you become with the keyboard the easier the use of the entire computer will become.
Open Lab Time
The only way to learn to use computers is to use computers. Our open labs are intended to provide anyone, student or neighbor, a chance to practice with computers and the Internet. Please feel free to drop in during our open lab times to practice, get some work done, or surf the net. If you have any questions feel free to ask one of the instructors present at every lab or just work on your own.
Know someone who can benefit?
We realize that many of the people who can benefit from our free instruction are probably not finding this web site on their own. If you know someone who is interested in learning more about computers please Contact Us or have them do so using our Contact information.
Has your organization been thinking about computer classes?
Lively-Net has worked with Muskegon area organizations that are seeking to teach their members or students more about computing and would like to do more. If you are trying to find a way that the people you work with can gain basic computing skills, or maybe even more advanced specific skills, please give us a call. Working with the groups in the community is another way we hope to improve the education of the community overall.
